Climate Anxiety Support Space

We are excited to announce the return of MYCJ's Climate Anxiety Support Space for youth climate activists!

Calls will occur on the fourth Mondays of the month at 7pm - so next Monday, October 23rd and Monday, November 27th, then we'll be back in the new year! Register here!

Our Support Calls for youth are a space to connect and process the climate crisis and some of the difficulties of climate activism in community - any youth (30 years and younger) living in Maine can join.

Our new Climate Activist Support Space Facilitator is Hannah Ryde! Hannah (she/her) is passionate about supporting youth-led initiatives and making space to process the challenges that can accompany environmental activism and working towards climate justice. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at The University of Southern Maine. Prior to starting graduate school, Hannah worked as a dialogue facilitator at Seeds of Peace Camp, engaged in public school outreach in Southern Maine to support students experiencing homelessness through her role at Preble Street, and taught high school English at Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki. In her free time, Hannah enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, swimming, and reading.
